Artists, Activists and Audiences is a series of one hour audio programs broadcast on 90mil Radio where we explore the artists’ work in the context of their processes, motivations, topics of interest / activism and their evolving relationship to their audiences. Some episodes have been created and broadcast live in the 90Mil studio, some have been recorded remotely and edited as a collage and some have been recorded in another studio prior to broadcast with minimal editing. We’re interested to explore different formats so let us know if you have a suggestion!
AAA6, marum

On 17th April at 11:00 at 90milradio, for Artists, Activists and Audiences AAA6, we had the pleasure to meet with marum and talk about their artistic practice and activisms!
marum has crafted over the years a hybrid artistic practice across music and queer rave culture, exploring ecstatic states and collective care through sound and moving image, rooted in a feminist hacker ethos.
Their prismatic sets delve into psychedelic story-telling and meditative spacial soundscapes, intertwined with driving rumbles, experimental techno, dub, trance, and critters. marum’s current research delves into sonic mourning and resistance with resource to sub-frequencies and vibroacoustic technologies. Between Lisbon and Berlin, marum has contributed to the ignition of projects such as infinity rug, mina, Planeta Manas, ins3kt Ræve, XenoEntities Network.
Thanks to Right to the City for the connection to marum. Right to the City Berlin is the English speaking arm of the Deutsche Wohnen & Co Enteignen movement.
